SPEAKER'S BIOGRAPHY
Kate Barrows
Kate Barrows is a Training Analyst with the British Psychoanalytical Society and works in private
practice in Bristol. She is also a Tavistock trained Child Psychotherapist and currently works as a staff
member of the Child and Family Service at the Bridge Foundation for Psychotherapy and the Arts in
Bristol.
She writes and lectures on a variety of psychoanalytic topics and has written several papers about the relationship between literature and psychoanalysis. Her publications include Envy, Icon Books (2001), and she has recently edited Autism in Childhood and Autistic Features in Adults, Karnac (2008).
