Dr. Richard P. Brown
Dr. Richard P. Brown, Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry, Columbia University, gives over 200 lectures and workshops every year. He completed his MD at Columbia University, Psychiatry Residency and fellowship in Psychobiology and Psychopharmacolgy at Cornell University Medical College.

Dr. Brown has published 90 scientific articles, books and chapters including, Stop Depression Now, The Rhodiola Revolution, "Complementary and Alternative Treatments in Psychiatry," in Psychiatry (Wiley & Sons 2003, 2007); "Alternative Treatments in Brain Injury" in Neuropsychiatry of Traumatic Brain Injury (American Psychiatric Publishing 2004, 2009); How to Use Herbs, Nutrients, and Yoga in Mental Health Care (WW Norton), Non-Drug Treatments for ADHD (WW Norton) and The Healing power of the Breath (Shambhala).

Dr. Brown's neurophysiological theory explains the effects of yoga breathing on mind and body in treating anxiety, depression, and PTSD. A certified teacher of Aikido (4th Dan), yoga, Qigong, and Open Focus Meditation, Dr. Brown conducts Breath~Body~Mind© workshops. www.haveahealthymind.com
