We have the privilege of living in an epoch of theoretical development in the field of psychotherapy that is invigorating, inspiring and demanding. We know that it is helpful to have a foundation of knowledge in how the integrated brain-mind-body system works in order to understand advances in clinical technique. But these neuro-physiological systems are complex and accurate knowledge is the consequence of rigorous scholarship - bridging the fields of neuro and biomedical science with psychotherapy is no small assignment.

At this conference-intensive, we have invited two UK psychotherapists who are experts in connecting neuroscience with psychotherapy – Roz Carroll and Margaret Wilkinson – to introduce what this historical moment means for new models in psychotherapeutic technique.

On both days these introductions will be followed by an intensive with the highly respected, innovative clinician, Dr Pat Ogden who will explain, discuss and demonstrate how her innovation of sensorimotor psychotherapy integrates neuroscientic knowledge, psychodynamic theory and body work into new and effective clinical technique with the most challenging patients.

Interventions and concepts will be discussed and illustrated through power point lecture, video excerpts of sessions with patients, brief experiential exercises, and handouts.
